Mount Washington Observatory is proud to partner with the following respected climbing schools to offer overnight expeditions to the summit of Mount Washington. Climbing instruction is provided by the companies listed below, and overnight accommodations are provided by Mount Washington Observatory at our legendary summit weather station.

EMS Climbing School

EMS Climbing School logo Founded in 1968, Eastern Mountain Sports Climbing School is the oldest and largest climbing school in the eastern United States. EMS Climbing School has been leading trips to the Observatory for the past 15 years, and is proud to offer nine dates for this winter season:

International Mountain Climbing School

International Mountain Climbing School logo Whether you want to rock climb up Cathedral Ledge or Cannon or summit Mount Washington, IMCS will get you there. For over 30 years IMCS has offered the most comprehensive climbing programs in the Eastern United States. IMCS certified guides are also world renowned climbers and mountaineers. IMCS climbs with all ages, all abilities, all the time. This winter, IMCS is offering one special Mount Washington Observatory overnight in January:

Mooney Mountain Guides

Mooney Mountain Guides logo Mooney Mountain Guides is a New Hampshire based year round mountain guide service specializing in personal instruction and guiding small groups. Mooney Mountain Guides offers private rock and ice climbs, mountaineering lessons and courses for all ages and abilities. In addition, Mooney Mountain Guides offers ski mountain tours and expeditions worldwide. Led by Art Mooney, an IFMGA/AMGA licensed mountain guide, they are offering one date in January:
