The following is a list of area lodging options that you may find helpful in planning your visit to the Mount Washington region. When making travel plans, please keep in mind that extreme weather may occur on Mount Washington at any time, and may delay your departure from the mountain. For this reason, we recommend that you remain flexible with your travel plans for the day or two after your trip.

Joe Dodge Lodge at Pinkham Notch

The Appalachian Mountain Club's Joe Dodge Lodge at Pinkham Notch Visitor Center and the Mount Washington Observatory's Winter EduTrip and Winter DayTrip programs have teamed up to offer basecamp mountain hospitality before and after each mountain top educational experience. Stay the night before each program at Joe Dodge Lodge and take advantage of the close proximity for next morning's program start with comfortable accommodations, hearty meals, and the chance to review your outdoor gear one last time. Or spend a night after descending the Northeast's highest peak to get cleaned up, unwind, and look forward to a complimentary cross-country ski ticket at Great Glen Trails for the next day before heading home.

Whether before or after your Observatory winter trip on Mount Washington, AMC's Joe Dodge Lodge at Pinkham Notch Visitor Center offers mountain hospitality and comfortable lodging at the foot of Tuckerman Ravine. Miles of hiking and skiing trails over varied terrain for all ability levels. Seasonal incentives offered in partnership with Great Glen Trails and Wildcat Ski Area. Complimentary day and evening naturalist programs in season on a wide variety of outdoor skills and natural history topics. To reserve call 603-466-2727 Monday - Saturday 9-5. LODGING: Shared bunk rooms with common baths, two to four bunks per room.
