Connect live via Zoom to the highest peak in the Northeastern US, Mount Washington, New Hampshire, as Weather Observers and Education Specialists at the non-profit Mount Washington Observatory present a virtual program called “Home of the World’s Worst Weather Live.”

WHEN: Tuesdays at 11:15 AM Eastern!

·       WHAT: Programs each Tuesday focus on a particular topic in weather and climate such as air masses or fronts, or how extreme winds are measured. MWO’s summit scientists will take roughly 20 minutes to share their knowledge in addition to the latest conditions  from high above tree line, followed by a Q&A session.

·       WHERE: Live programs stream on Zoom. Register below by clicking on the registration link for each program you want to attend. All programs will be recorded and uploaded to MWO’s YouTube page and below shortly after they air.

WHO: Targeted for grades 6-8 (though grades above and below will benefit, too!) content will expand on MWO’s well-established distance learning program that connects students across the country to the excitement and science taking place in the “Home of the World’s Worst Weather”.

Live programs will be uploaded below for use outside the regularly scheduled time. Additional resources and activities related to the science of weather are also provided below. Questions or suggestions for the program? Contact education@mountwashington.org
