MWV STEM EXPO

The mission of the Mount Washington Valley Youth STEM Expo is to inspire the next generation of innovators from elementary school to high school, by fostering a love for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Through collaboration between the SAU #9 school district and community volunteers, the annual event provides a platform for students to explore, experiment, and innovate. Generous sponsorships allow the event to recognize outstanding projects with cash prizes and scholarships, aiming to cultivate a community dedicated to nurturing scientific curiosity and promoting the importance of STEM education. Mount Washington Observatory is a private, nonprofit, member-supported institution with a mission to advance understanding of the natural systems that create Earth’s weather and climate. It serves this mission by maintaining a weather station on the summit of Mount Washington, performing weather and climate research, conducting innovative science education programs, and interpreting the heritage of the Mount Washington region. Our weather station is located  on the summit of Mount Washington  in New Hampshire, at Mount Washington State Park.
