An Exciting New Year

Another exciting 2015 event is the 95th Annual meeting of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) in Phoenix, AZ. The conference kicks off this weekend and lasts through January 8th. This year, Mount Washington Observatory will be well-represented! Mike Carmon, Mike Dorfman, and Dr. Eric Kelsey have traded cold, snowy, New England for the warm desert weather, where they will be able to mingle with students, broadcast meteorologists, researchers, professors, and many other professionals in the field. During events like the Career Fair and Weather Fest, students and recent graduates can stop by the MWO table and learn more about our summit operations and our internship program. There will also be plenty of interesting talks to attend throughout the week to learn more about the latest meteorological advancements across the board, including instrumentation, communication, education, forecasting, technology, and the list goes on! We are thrilled to have the opportunity to network at such a large meteorological convention, and we wish Mike Carmon, Mike Dorfman, and Dr. Kelsey the best of luck as they work to broaden our connections within the meteorological community!
