Thoughts from the Museum

It is an exciting time as I start my first summer shift week working in our Museum and Gift Shop. After volunteering several times on the summit, I am honored to be a part of the MWO team, and what an awesome time to come aboard Extreme Mount Washington.

The Museum and Shop are beautifully redone! As I watched the truck come up the Auto Road containing the museum displays I felt like it was Christmas. Putting items on the shelves in the gift shop, well I cannot wait to go shopping and I know our visitors will feel the same. I wait eagerly for it all to come together!

How lucky am I to be living/working on the summit of Mount Washington. All the Obs staff: what a tremendous job they do! Always answering weather-related questions, and allowing those who wish to join them in their observations outdoors. It goes without saying, if it were not for them, we would not be here…

I am not counting down, but it is a shame I only have 10 weeks left of living on the rock.
