New Year 2012
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had an enjoyable and safe evening yesterday, we certainly did up here on the Rockpile. In fact I’m still recovering from all the excellent food and good company – it truly was an amazing meal and a great New Year’s Eve celebration. For those that are interested in seeing what they missed the menu can be found here. All the dishes were amazing but I think my favorite three would have to be theTuna Tataki, the Maine Filet Oscar and the Summit Chocolate Souffle (there’s still one left in the fridge – it’ll be gone by morning – I’ll start the diet tomorrow).
To cap it all off we were treated to an amazing sunrise and blue skies this morning! It doesn’t get better than that. Marc, our chef extraordinaire, left with the group today so now we are down to three for the rest of the week – it’s certainly turning out to be a very quiet shift. Looks like the weather will be a little more interesting too over the next few days – certainly a lot colder than of late with lots of de-icing exercise for me.
