Monday Sunrise

Last night, before really thinking about the consequences, I asked Mike to wake me if the sunrise would be visible. During my evening jog last night, I could see the haze settling into the valley and I thought it would be really cool to see the sun come up through the haze. Well, about those consequences…

Mike knocked on my door and walked into my room at about 440 EST this morning. I woke with a start and apparently mumbled something unintelligebly. After lying in bed for a few minutes, debating whether or not the sunrise was worth leaving my warm bed, I decided that my life would be better for waking up early.

In a pleasant turn of events, I was right! Not much compares to welcoming the day by saying hello to our good friend Sol. As the sun rose it was distorted by a thick layer of haze, so that it resembled a large, red, round blob. Even though this morning was rewarding, I think I’ll be catching my Z’s tomorrow.
