family trip

Ken and Family
Yesterday was an exciting day for me. My family got a chance to come up to the summit for a brief day trip with Ken Rancourt and Scot Henley. My Uncle Denny, Aunt Lisa, Laurie my mom, and Cousin Sarah all rode up in the tractor yesterday morning.
I couldn’t have asked for better weather. It was zero degrees with gusts up to 60 mph and miles of clear visibility. If they had come up on a 29 degree day with no wind I’m sure they would have been a bit skeptical of my stories of bitter cold and hurricane force winds.
After a brief tour around the building, I took the whole crew out on to the deck for a little walk around in the wind. It made my day to see my tall uncle and cautious mother slipping and sliding around the deck in the wind.
I know that everyone had a great time on their trip up. I think about 300 pictures were taken in total, and everyone left with big smiles on their faces. If you would like to learn more about how you can take part in an amazing trip like the one my family was just on, please visit our winter day trip page.
