Meet the MWOBS staff teams participating in this year’s Seek the Peak! Every summer, representatives from our administrative office in North Conway, Weather Station on the summit of Mount Washington, and everywhere in between, join together to advocate for the many projects and initiatives happening across the organization while celebrating this special institution alongside the community that makes it all possible. Thank you to all who support this event every year, and please consider supporting one of the below Observatory teams as they go head to head in some (friendly) fundraising competition!
MWOBS Weather Observers
The heart of our organization: Our summit crew. Help our weather observers hit their ambitious goal and come in ahead of the valley girls in their Seek the Peak contest. You’re supporting all of your favorites including Ryan Knapp, Charlie Peachey, Alex Branton, Francis Tarasiewicz, Karl Philippoff, Alexis George, Tricia Hutton, and Jay Broccolo.

MWOBS Valley Gals
Love the direction of our educational programs? Can’t get enough of Windswept or our monthly newsletters? Support the Valley Gals in their quest to topple our MWOBS Weather Observers from atop the rockpile. You’re supporting hard workers in our organization including Brenda Sullivan, Jackie Bellefontaine, Ellen Estabrook, Wendy Almeida, and Amy Cotter.
Please consider a donation to the Valley Gals here.
Nimbus, Resident Summit Cat
Meow. You know him. You love him. He’s the only domesticated creature that lives on Mount Washington all year. Help keep him in cat food otherwise he might try to break into the pantry, again. Enough said. You’re supporting you know who.
Please consider a donation to Nimbus here— you may even receive a purrsonal thank you!
Cosmic Kismet
If you’re looking for that underdog, outside contender, please consider a team with a unique blend of Trustees, MWOBS staff, and members. Together we braved the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse and now we’re back to contend in this year’s Seek the Peak. Your supporting Board of Trustees Secretary Jeannie Oliver, Director of External Affairs Charlie Buterbaugh, Members Jerry and Ann Walls, Member Catherine Murray, and Executive Director Drew Bush.
You can donate to this awesome team here.
Now is a great time to join Seek the Peak! Register as an individual, start a team, join a team, or get your co-workers together for a chance to win a trip to the summit through our business competition! Plus, to help get kids and families on the trails, we’re offering free registration for youth 15 and under. We can’t wait to see you out there and celebrate together on July 20th!
