Dear *{{Informal Name}}*,
We’ve accomplished so much together in 2024. Your support has meant the difference in enabling us to serve thousands more young students and their families with our educational programs, launch new research partnerships, and bring our forecasts into additional homes across New England.
This past September, I celebrated my two-year anniversary at our beloved Observatory. Each of you has played a vital role in helping us move closer to the vision that I articulated, when I started, of the Observatory becoming a vibrant hub for scientific research and learning at all ages. A few of our accomplishments this year include collaborating on work to:
- Modernize and expand our equipment and technology both at our summit weather station and across the Mount Washington Regional Mesonet;
- Deliver weather and climate-based science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs at schools across our region and nationally to inspire thousands of students; and,
- Partner with universities, governmental agencies, and other nonprofits to tackle essential research into changing precipitation patterns, alterations to snow depth and extent, numerical weather modeling, temperature lapse rates, and more.
There’s too much exciting work to fit here, including what is yet to come. What I can say is that you are the essential ingredient in all we do. We look forward to sharing more about your impact in November and December during our Year-End Campaign.
As you gather with family and loved ones this holiday season, we hope you will consider renewing your support for our work. Please give as generously as you are able to help us sustain our legacy into its 93rd year.
Thank you so very much for your support, help, time, and advice making all of these accomplishments possible this past year.
Sincerely,
