Marty-in-a-Box

In A Box
Despite the busy goings-on here at the summit, there is one staff member that remains constant, and his name is Marty.
From the perspective of a furry feline that stands no more than a couple feet off the ground, one would suspect the hustle and bustle can seem even more overwhelming. However, ever since Christmas time, Marty has found a sufficient space in which to retreat when winter trip season is in full swing. It’s the winter of Marty-in-a-box!
Marty’s box is perched on a ledge at the crux of our weather room, the hub of operations at our summit facility. It’s ideal for any being that would wish to survey all of the activity that occurs throughout the day, yet simultaneously remain somewhat hidden in the shadows. The box is just tall enough to completely hide his figure when he desires to remain unseen, yet short enough so he may occasionally stand to attention and appraise the current state of affairs around him.
So far this week, Marty has spent more time nestled in his box than ever, as it is ideal for him to grab the spotlight when he wishes to, drawing ‘ooohs’ and ‘ahhhs’ from all of our winter guests who cannot get enough of his seemingly-irresistible persona!
Now that’s what I call purr-fection.
