A Reminder That It Is Still Winter

The snow is falling here on the summit and in the valley as well. While we have had numerous storms so far this year this is a classic Nor’easter. With a conveyor belt of moisture coming up from the Gulf of Mexico and the southern Atlantic, New Hampshire could see between 8 to 12 inches of fresh snow with pockets of increased or decreased accumulations. The summit itself has been above normal for temperature the past few days and this trend will likely continue just a bit longer. However, it is important to remember that although we may be above normal today/tonight, the winter season will not be over for a few more weeks and the northeast can still expect more cold and snowy weather.
