Spring Events
2014-02-11 22:32:13.000 – Tom Padham, Weather Observer/Meteorologist
NULL
We have several events lined up this spring to help kick off our spring fundraising, including a fantastic opportunity to meet some of the most famous meteorologists on TV; all while helping us continue to do our valuable work here at the Mount Washington Observatory.
An Evening with Ginger Zee will offer an intimate look at the life and career of Americas favorite meteorologist. Zee will share the trials and triumphs of her ascension to stardom on Good Morning America, then offer an inside look at the world of storm chasing. Through heart-pounding video and first-person narration, she will detail some of her most challenging and frightening experiences, including the devastating loss of fellow storm chaser Tim Samaras and his crew in 2013. For more information on the date, time and location of this event please click the link here.
In addition, please join us at the Weather Discovery Center, February 17-21, for a week-long series of free educational programs that will share details of the work done on Mount Washington as well as a special open house on Wednesday, Feb 19. Hope to see you there!
