Have you ever wanted to experience the summit of Mount Washington at sunset? Well, here’s your chance!
On Saturday, September 7th, purchase a ticket to Observatory’s annual Sunset Soiree.After a private wine tasting at the Douglas A. Philbrook Red Barn Museum at the base of the Mt. Washington Auto Road, take a chauffeured ride up to the summit, where dessert will be waiting for you. Take a walk through the Mount Washington Observatory weather station, and meet the summit staff that is charged with holding down the fort on this mountaintop. In addition, you’ll be able to explore the summit during the waning hours of a late summer day, culminating in a champagne toast on the observation deck at sunset!
Afterwards, you’ll head down to the base of the Auto Road for dinner provided by Thompson House Eatery of Jackson, NH.
