12 May 2010 I started working on the summit as one of the new summer interns. Today, one year later, I am starting on the summit as the new Museum Supervisor. With two internships behind me I am excited to be working for the Observatory in a new position. I will still be working on the same shift as I have been but will have a new title and new responsibilities. So far in my new role I have been readying the museum and gift shop for its season opening. As of yet, the date has not been determined but it is fast approaching. In preparation I have cleaned out the storage room, moved shelving around, folded items for the gift shop, and started to organize the displays. There was even a delivery from the valley of new items to be folded and hung out on display. Opening day is sure to be something to look forward to. Knowing how much I enjoyed working in the museum and gift shop last summer I am excited for this upcoming summer. As one of the new Museum Supervisors I hope to see you all on the summit and visiting the museum and gift shop.
