Ken and Family

Yesterday was an exciting day for me. My family got a chance to come up to the summit for a brief day trip with Ken Rancourt and Scot Henley. My Uncle Denny, Aunt Lisa, Laurie my mom, and Cousin Sarah all rode up in the tractor yesterday morning.

I couldn’t have asked for better weather. It was zero degrees with gusts up to 60 mph and miles of clear visibility. If they had come up on a 29 degree day with no wind I’m sure they would have been a bit skeptical of my stories of bitter cold and hurricane force winds.

After a brief tour around the building, I took the whole crew out on to the deck for a little walk around in the wind. It made my day to see my tall uncle and cautious mother slipping and sliding around the deck in the wind.

I know that everyone had a great time on their trip up. I think about 300 pictures were taken in total, and everyone left with big smiles on their faces.
